Terms & Conditions

Chalet rules apply to all members of your party. The lessor is held responsible for the actions of all other people on the rented premises.

As you will appreciate the cleanliness of the premises upon your arrival, please be respectful towards the work of the cleaning lady. Thank you for picking you up so as not to make his work more difficult.

The tenant must notify us immediately of any breakage or damage caused during his stay and is responsible for material damage occurring in or on the building rented during the rental period, for any reason whatsoever, except for damage resulting from a construction defect, lack of maintenance or natural disasters.

Furniture and objects available to the tenant should be treated with care and used only for the purpose for which they are intended. The tenant is responsible for any damaged furniture or object, for any damage caused to the rented premises, including the land and the exterior equipment.

The tenant cannot assign his rental rights or sublet the building.

It is forbidden to install or stay in an accessory building (tent, trailer, RV, etc.).

Breaking one of these rules will lead to the immediate cancellation of the rental contract.

) Arrival time is from 5 p.m. and departure time is before 11 a.m. Please respect this schedule.

Capacity and guests

The chalet can only be rented for vacation purposes.

It is forbidden to exceed the maximum capacity of people who can sleep in the chalet (8 adults) without the consent of the owners under penalty of eviction, without refund, if non-compliance.

Please advise us when you plan visitors and guests otherwise additional charges per night per person of the declared number will be deducted from your security deposit.

Party, music, noise and surveillance

( 09)

The municipal by-law of the city of Petite-Rivière-Saint-François prohibits disturbing the peace between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. You are responsible for the fine given to you as well as the fine given to the owner in the event of non-compliance and the amount will be deducted from your security deposit.

The Landlord is not responsible for any event having caused death, injuries, loss of personal objects, or for any damage affecting the personal property of the tenant and his guests during the stay. By accepting this reservation, the Renter and his guests accept the risks associated with their stay at the establishment.

Dog and cat

No animals allowed in the chalet unless you have received the owner's prior consent. An amount of $200 will be deducted from the security deposit for any undeclared animal.

Kitchen

The kitchen counter is made of wood and can be damaged by heat or knife blades. Please always use a trivet, coaster or cutting board.

Barbecue

A propane BBQ is available (connected to the chalet's tank). Please do not burn wood or other in the BBQ, clean the grill according to use (no food or other major damage) and close the BBQ after each use to avoid leaks. The amount of the filling of the cylinder will be deducted from your security deposit if it empties through negligence.

Fireplaces and outdoor fires

A propane fireplace interior is at your disposal. It is possible to turn it on and off with the wall switch located to the right of the fireplace.Please open the switch (button in the basement) allowing heat ventilation for the entire house

Outdoor wood fires are permitted only in the designated area (unless prohibited by the city in the event of a high risk of fire). Before lighting an outdoor fire, the Tenant must always check on the SopFeu website if there are any fire bans in effect. Avoid making too big a fire and be sure to put it out completely when you're done admiring it. You must bring your wood to make a fire outside. DO NOT USE the trees of the forest or the bark of THE JOBS to ignite your fire. a fee of $200 will be deducted from your security deposit in the event of non-compliance.

No fireworks are permitted (municipal by-law). You are responsible for your fine as well as that of the owner in the event of non-compliance and the amount will be deducted from your security deposit.

Spa

The 4 locks of the lid must be worked before opening the cover

Never leave children alone in the spa.

Never allow children to open the spa cover, or handle the screen or cleaning products.

Do not use hard dishes, glass or glass bottles around and in the spa. Only the use of cans and plastic cups (available in the kitchen) are permitted.

Always open the spa cover with 2 people, each by one side of the cover, gently, so as not to damage the lever. Keep cover upright when open.

Remove chlorine dispenser when using spa. Always put it back in water after each use. The correct amount of chlorine has already been provided for your stay.

Maintain the spa temperature at all times between 95 and 101 degrees f in the summer and between 98 and 101 degrees f in the winter.

Always turn off the before closing the spa cover.

Always close the spa cover when not in use and use the clips in front to keep it securely closed.

The spa is programmed so that the filtrations start by themselves. Do not interfere in these cycles.Note that the spa can be used without any problem during the filtrations.

5.10 Add 4 spoonfuls of Oxy product (placed on the outside counter of the terrace) each day the spa is used. If other products are to be added, specific instructions will be left with you. Otherwise, do not add anything to the water.

Spa water is tested before each rental and should be left as clean as on arrival. If it is necessary to change the water in the spa following your stay, a fee of $250 may be deducted from the security deposit.

Any breakage or damage to the spa will incur additional fees which will be deducted from the security deposit.

Any malfunction of the spa must be reported immediately to the owners at the coordinates provided.

Electricity, internet, aqueduct, toilet and septic tank

A power failure ectricity can arrive during a storm or other and it sometimes takes longer to repair in the countryside.We cannot be held responsible for damage or interruption of service, we regret the inconvenience, but there will be no compensation in connection with this service.

The internet connection is provided with the rental of the chalet. The quality and speed of this service vary according to various factors (number of users, type of use, etc.) and therefore we do not assume any compensation in connection with this service.

The chalet is supplied with water from a well. a water cut can happen, we are not responsible for it and it sometimes takes longer to repair in the region. We regret the inconvenience on this subject, but there will be no compensation in connection with this service.

The chalet operates with a septic tank. Please put only natural waste and toilet paper. Put any other items in the trash (No tampons). Better to avoid a situation that results in a clogged toilet.

Heating and air conditioning

In order to save energy and prevent equipment breakdown due to overuse, please close all doors and windows when the heating or air conditioning is on.

Do not use the heating if the air conditioning is on or vice versa.

The wall-mounted air conditioning unit is on the ground floor at the top of the steps and operates at using the white remote control located on the bottom of the unit. This unit also works for heating and is more economical.

Please leave the air exchanger running at all times.

To operate the ventilation when taking a shower, it you have to press the ventilation button three times in the bathrooms.

Cleanliness, Recycling and Waste

Washer and dryer are available in the chalet. You must bring your own detergent and fabric softener.

We recycle where possible, only paper can be burned in the fire pit. Cans, glass, cardboard, plastic and aluminum must be recycled in the blue bin outside.

never burn garbage or leave it outside the chalet. Small animals love waste. Put the waste in a closed bag and dispose of it in the green bin near the parking lot.

For security reasons, it is absolutely forbidden to smoke inside the chalet. We have the right to ask you to leave the premises, without reimbursement, if we become aware that someone has smoked inside. You can smoke outside the chalet. However, if cigarette waste is found on the property and cleaning is required, the additional cleaning costs will be deducted from your deposit.

If excessive cleaning proves necessary following your departure, the additional cleaning costs which will be invoiced to us will be deducted from your security deposit.

Additional notes for the Chalet( 09)

Insects and wildlife are part of the pleasures of the forest. We control them as best we can. Please do not encourage them by keeping the doors closed and putting the food in containers or in the refrigerator.

Please do not leave the chalet with white towels, sheets and blankets.

Avoid bringing glass outside;we have glasses dedicated to the spa and outside it is good to walk barefoot.

We supply certain products in small quantities to help you out. When these reserves are exhausted, it is up to you to replace them according to your needs for the rest of your stay. Here is the list of these items:

-> Salt, pepper, and sugar;

-> Dish soap;

-> Toilet paper, paper towels, and tissues;

-> white garbage can and large black bag.

Before departure:

-Bring all your personal belongings;

-No food in the fridge or cupboards;( 09)-The interior of the refrigerator, freezer, microwave, stove and bbq must be free of damage;

-Undo the sheets and pillowcases then leave them at the foot of the respective bed. Do not undo the pillow protectors and mattress protectors unless they have to be washed following an incident;

-Place all used towels, washcloths, bath mats, dishcloths and dish towels near the washer;( 09)-Replace the furniture, clean the dishes and empty the dishwasher;

-The exterior must be clean and tidy (no cigarette butts, empty bottles or cans);

-Place your waste in bags in the green bin near the parking lot.

=>Expenses for $50 per item not respected will be deducted from your security deposit.

Price and payment

-The price includes the cleaning fee. It is subject to the lodging tax and the gst/qst. The lessor collects them with the amount of the rental and must return them.

-To confirm your reservation, you must make a deposit of 25% of the total amount by Interac transfer to the email address info@chaletsboreal. com. This amount is non-refundable.

-The balance is due 30 days before your arrival, also payable by Interac transfer to the email address info@chaletsboreal.com This amount is non-refundable.

Security deposit

-You must make a security deposit of $500 2 days before your arrival.

-The purpose of the security deposit is to guarantee any damage to the rented property, the movable property at its disposal, to guarantee compliance with the present conditions of rental of the chalet as well as the municipal regulations. The refund of the security deposit is made within 5 days of departure, following the visit of the cleaning lady. However, if the inventory on leaving does not conform to the initial inventory, the time limit for returning the security deposit will be extended to 3 months. Repair, replacement and/or additional cleaning costs will be deducted from the security deposit before it is returned. In case of dispute, will be charged in addition to the costs of repair and/or replacement and/or additional maintenance, management fees at the hourly rate of $50 plus applicable taxes.

Cancellation

-You can cancel your reservation 30 days before the date of your arrival. However, the 25% payment made at the time of booking is non-refundable.

-In the event of a shortened stay by the tenant, the total price of the rental is entirely due to the landlord (no refund).
