Hello! I have a cosy & stylish 2-bed for short term rent starting in August! nestled in the woods near tranquil Lac Gauvreau, near Ottawa. Indoor & outdoor fireplaces. Large deck, terrace, BBQ, tucked in the woods.
1 min walk to community lake access (house isn't on water). Snowshoes & crampons available in winter. Canoe & paddle board at beach for guest use in summer. 5 mins from village of Wakefield, many amazing trails, & public beaches. 4 downhill ski resorts within a 15 min drive, & world-class cross-country skiing 2 mins away in Gatineau Park.
For renters, the home is also steps to Lac Gauvreau, you can hear loons in the morning and swim in the lake, its super peaceful. I have a canoe available. A gardener also comes once a week to take care of gardens and lawn. And in winter months I have a hired plow service.

- The heat is electric baseboard PLUS I have a wood stove, it gets very cosy in winter and has been my year-round home for several years,
- Reliable internet (I worked from home with Zoom meetings no problem)!
- Two car parking with average suburban-sized driveway
- There is a woodshed
- There is a "nook" in spare room not shown, but great for a second desk/office space (like a "den")
- Private lot, its very quiet and peaceful, backs onto a forested ravine with beautiful wild flowers and terraced reading spots / a fire pit.
Small pets are fine as long as they're well behaved!
The home is furnished but some pieces can be moved depending on length of stay. Looking for someone who will take care of my little home and appreciates the great community and nature that surrounds it!
