Welcome to The Neverending Story! Our charming chalet located in the middle of the woods and on the edge of Lake Denison invites you to stay as long as you want! You will cross the countryside of Cleveland Township, then find yourself in the forest surrounding the property. It is full of mature trees; To recharge your batteries, forest bathing is ideal. Forest and freshwater birds coexist here. During migration seasons, birdwatchers will be delighted.
With access to the water directly on the chalet grounds, you can venture out aboard one of the kayaks or pedal boats available to you on site. Motorboats are absent on this small ecological lake. Respect for nature is at the heart of the values of our little chalet. We only use local and biodegradable cleaning products to limit our impact on the quality of the lake water and the flora and fauna that surround us.
Sip your morning coffee on the terrace equipped with a BBQ for your lunch or dinner grills. After a day in the great outdoors, treat yourself to the private spa, which, summer and winter, awaits you to make your stay more relaxing.
Winter pleasures are also available in our chalet! Whether in the region or directly at the chalet, young and old will be delighted. Just a 25-minute drive away, you'll find Mount Gleason offering a multitude of activities for the whole family, from downhill skiing to tubing and snowshoeing. For great cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, head to the Richmond-Melbourne Cross-Country Ski Club, located less than 15 minutes from this chalet.
The entrance can be slippery in winter on occasion. You can park your vehicle at the top of the entrance instead of going all the way down.
*** It should be noted that we have been told of an increase in aquatic plants which makes swimming not pleasant. Some areas of the lake are more pleasant, especially taking boats to go further out on the water. Between Thanksgiving weekend and Patriots weekend, we cannot guarantee that watercraft will be available. ***
INTERIOR DESCRIPTION
Recently renovated, everything has been carefully thought out to make the place warm and welcoming; you will immediately feel at home! Your winter stays will be pleasant thanks to the wood stove which quickly warms the entire chalet. The fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal, allowing you to prepare everything on site. A full bathroom with shower and washer-dryer completes the property. Our chalet has 2 closed bedrooms: one with a double bed, and the other with a bunk bed (1 double bed and 1 single bed). A sofa bed is located in the living room, allowing 6 people to stay there.
Ground floor: Open concept kitchen and dining room / Living room: 1 sofa bed / Bedroom #1 : 1 double bed / Bedroom #2: 1 double bunk bed (Single bed above for maximum 150 lbs) / Full bathroom (with shower).
