A 300-year-old house, Maison Renaud saw several generations of the Renaud family succeed one another until 1965. Vestiges of this era, the barn of Romulus, the last occupant of the Renaud family, still sits proudly in the back.
The architecture and design of this Norman-style house testify to the adaptations that are necessary to overcome the harshness of Quebec winters: the wide and deep foundations make it possible to fight against frost; the stone is coated with lime to preserve it from the weather; the sloping roof and the elongated cornices prevent the accumulation of ice and snow.
Laid out for small groups, this chalet will also appeal to couples who wish to take advantage of an intimate atmosphere to have a good time as a couple.
The decor made up of a stone fireplace, wood paneling, stone walls and wooden beams… promises you a real incursion into the Quebec of the 1800s.
The Maison Renaud can accommodate 10 people. The total area of this two-storey chalet is 1850 ft2 (172 m2).It allows you to stay a few minutes from the Mont Sainte-Anne ski and bike slopes.
