Reviews La Villa du Fleuve

My stay was heavenly in this pretty cocoon facing this majestic river that you see wherever you are in the Villa. You can let yourself be lulled by the surf that you hear in the evening before falling asleep.

Everything is perfect: very comfortable, clean and bright villa with its large windows, even in the bedroom with the king bed, very comfortable by the way. It feels like being on a boat at high tide, in the absence of pitching!

The propane stove for auxiliary heating and for the "chalet" atmosphere adds a plus when the days cool down.

And what about these magnificent sunsets which vary from day to day and which we never tire of contemplating.

On the practical side, there is really everything we need needs to cook.

We can walk for kilometers on the shore, enveloped by the wind and the sea air which oxygenates us. It is very easy to access thanks to a large, secure wooden staircase.It is only removed around mid-November, before the arrival of high tides.

The beautiful Bic Park is 30/40 minutes away by car. It's a plus.

We can easily do our grocery shopping 10 to 15 minutes away. Everything is easily accessible.

Dave Bernier, the owner, is very kind and discreet but available whenever you have questions or needs.

If I gave 4* and no 5* it is simply because there could be 2 small irritants depending on the number of people who rent this villa and depending on the sensitivity of each person.

1) the double bed in the 2nd bedroom (2 beds bunk) has a very hard mattress.

But there is a 3rd bedroom in the basement with a very comfortable bed.

2) the villa is located on route 132, spaced by a fairly large plot of land( therefore not stuck on 132).

By closing the windows facing the road at the front, you can hear the passing cars/trucks much less. And in good weather, by opening the 2 large patio doors, the sounds of the surf and the wind prevail over those of the cars.

I quickly got used to it and it's not an irritant for me.

Plus, the benefits far outweigh it!

I've already booked for the fall 2024!

We stayed two weeks at the Villa du rivière (week 21 and 28 August 21) and I completely agree with all the positive comments written between the 8 Jul 20 and Aug 2 21.

We had visited the chalet briefly on our vacation in Aug 20, the chalet was very clean and adequate. During our stay on August 21, we pleasantly noted that the kitchen and the main bathroom have undergone some nice renovations and that the outside bbq has been changed to a more efficient one. Even the interior paint looks very nice, admittedly it has been applied recently.

This obviously indicates a concern of the owner to maintain the chalet well and even to improve it over the years.

Finally, we specify that housekeeping is carried out with care.

As for the view of the sea, sunsets, birds, there is nothing to add, everything has been said, it's magnificent.

It is for all these reasons that we will be returning in 2022.
