This cottage, minutes from the Sandbanks Provincial Park, has unobstructed water views and is directly on the water. It has all amenities, fully furnished with central A/C, heat and a fireplace.

It is part of a Family-friendly resort with a one of a kind 1200 ft groomed sandy beach and a heated salt water pool.

We rent this cottage last year. The view from the living room and solarium is beautiful. The day and evening. The kids spent most of the time in the lake - there were inflatable Cossins on which they were jumping then hurled into the water. They preferred it to the pool. The beach on the site was clean and all the free time (3 to 6 families at a time) so we felt comfortable. The cottage is a little small, but it is super well equipped and well prepared so we felt good (3 adults and 2 pre-teen). There is a convenience store on site where you could buy ice cream cones, rent free movies and troubleshoot. In short, I recommend this place.

Terms and Conditions of the Cottage

The Resort Policies are designed to provide information and guidelines on what you can expect from Great Blue Resorts and what the resort expects of you as a seasonal accommodation owner and guest. An understanding of the Resort Policies will enhance your vacation experience on the resort and will help us to maintain clean, safe and well maintained properties.

RENTAL GUESTS

All guests must sign in at the Welcome Centre upon arrival. Adults must be 25 years of age or older. No “party” groups will be accepted. Private rental guests are subject to same rules of the resort as a Great Blue Resort rental guest. If a rental guest/s causes disruption to other guests or owners, cause damage to the park model cottage, or any other resort or private property, they will be asked to leave the resort. The homeowner will be notified by phone and/or email of the guest eviction, and provided with details leading to the decision to evict.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY

The cottage can be rented to no more than 6 people, 4 adults and 2 children maximum, at a time as the park model cottages are not made for larger groups.

ALCOHOL

Alcohol consumption is allowed on property but must be contained in plastic cups. Please understand we have other guests on the resort and ask that you drink responsibly. No underage drinking will be tolerated.

BOATS, TRAILERS & DOCK SLIPS

Dock slips are available for seasonal rental which includes 1 slip. Boats and trailers are not permitted on sites throughout the season. A single dock slip is an area on an existing dock that will accommodate 1 watercraft. If you are interested in securing a Dock Slip, speak to your Resort General Manager or call our office at -1-877-814-4141 to reserve.

CONCERNS & questions

The Resort General Managers are experienced and able to effectively and efficiently manage your concerns and questions. Please reach out to them for the most up-to-date information.

first aid

a First Aid Station is located in the Welcome Centre and pool areas. Our Resort General Managers and several key resort team members are First Aid and cpr trained. Immediately report an accident, injury or safety concern to our Resort General Manager or Welcome Centre hostess.

garbage

garbage is to be taken to the designated waste areas.

golf carts

Personal golf carts are allowed at designated resorts. Drivers of golf carts must be at least 16 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. Golf carts are to be driven slowly within the resort and the appropriate number of passengers allowed. Driving a golf cart in an unsafe manner or under the influence will result in termination of golf cart use in the resort.

green initiative

We are striving to do our part by embracing a green initiative philosophy and we are committed to minimizing our resorts’ impact on the planet in the areas of water and energy conservation. We request seasonal and rental guests practice green activities while on resort property. Septic System As we are on a private septic system, the following guidelines are to be followed:

• One-ply toilet tissue is to be used; Personal hygiene products, diapers and paper towels will cause damage to the septic system and are not to be flushed.

• Baby wipes, diapers or hygiene products, paper and candy wrappers must be disposed of in garbage bags and disposed of with regular waste.

• Do not dispose of grease, oil or other products in your sinks or toilets.

• Household chemicals cannot be flushed or put down the sinks including fats, oil and grease, coffee grounds, solid food waste, bleach or other cleaning chemicals.

Your awareness and assistance will ensure a properly operating septic system and will reduce any septic odours around the resort. Each of our accommodations are equipped with a filter system to prevent blockages. Backups resulting from misuse of the system relating to any of the above actions, will result in charges for repair being applied. pets

Although we are a pet friendly resort, only well behaved and well trained Dogs are allowed in the cottage. Pets must be on a leash at all times and must remain free of the beach, playground, pool, marina and interior public building areas. Pets are allowed to swim along shoreline areas away from the beach. Pet owners are required to "stoop and scoop". Pets showing signs of aggression or causing on-going disturbances to others will not be allowed on resort. The resort provides convenient doggie stations for bags. Check with your Welcome Centre for the location of your doggie station.

photography

We reserve the right to take photographs and videos to capture images of our resorts to be used in various forms of marketing. We take every precaution to maintain privacy of our seasonal accommodation owners and guests.

pool

our pools are unsupervised and parents are required to watch their children at all times. We strive to open the pool as early as possible, weather permitting. The earlier, the better.

 May to Father’s Day weekends 10:00am – 7:00pm.

 Father’s Day– Labour Day daily 9:00am – 8:00pm

 After Labour Day – September 31st weekends 10:00am- 7:00pm

Pools will be closed during rain, thunderstorms and for emergency maintenance.

propane

20 lb. and 30 lb. tanks are allowed on our resorts with 20 lb. tanks used for bbq’s and up to 2 x 30 lb. tanks for accommodations.

property

The Resort is privately owned by Great Blue Resorts and as such we request consideration and respect for the property. Help us preserve the beauty of the resort by maintaining the natural landscapes, amenities and qualities of the resort. Anyone damaging or destroying the property will be asked to leave the resort without refund and damage charges will be incurred. arrivals & departures Check-In time: After 4h00 pm (16:00) Check-Out time : Before 10h00 am

Resort rental guest fees

a mandatory Resort Fee of $25 (+hst) per night must be paid by the rental guests upon check in at the Welcome Center. This is the same policy that all Great Blue rental guests abide by.

Parking

All guests must sign in at the Welcome Centre upon arrival and will be provided with a guest car tag. There is a one vehicle policy and if additional vehicles are expected to arrive, there will be an additional charge of $20 (+hst) per night and the additional vehicle will be required to park in the overflow parking area. This will be paid directly at the Welcome Center. Parking on the grass is prohibited.

2017 seasonal house rules

- Strictly forbidden to smoke inside the cottage; your entire security deposit will be withheld if you do not follow this simple rule.

- Maximum occupancy of 6 guests;

- The cottage is no more than 3 years old ; Everything should be in great condition. If for some reason a repair is needed, contact the homeowner directly . Do not under no circumstances, except life threatening situation, ask the resort employees to do work on the cottage; Unauthorized work will be deducted from the security deposit;

- No littering around - nor inside - the cottage (including cigarette butts). We all want to enjoy our stay in a clean environment;

- No noise after 11h00 pm (outside). You would want the same form of respect and consideration from others for you and your kids;

- Avoid glass bottles outside the cottage lot (for the safety of adults and our children); - Empty/remove your garbage as soon as it is full and bring the designated area on the resort. Do not leave your garbage unattended outside;

- Leave cottage clean and tidy as you found it.

Failure to comply to a single house rule is considered misconduct and may result in the immediate termination of your stay and/or eviction from the resort. No refund will be considered. Each renter, occupant and/or their guest is required to follow the rules and regulations (policies) of the resort as well as the House rules. No refund for a holiday cut short due to misconduct of renter, occupant and/or their guest(s)
