Fatima is a village on the island of Cap-aux-Meules, and it is the youngest village. The landscape of Fatima is distinguished by its indented coastline of steep and spectacular cliffs caused by the winds of the North sector.
The Dune du Nord beach connects Cap-aux-Meules Island and Pointe-aux-Loups Island. On the lagoon side, you may see seals. One of the most beautiful islands, the beach is deserted and the water is crystal clear. But be careful, currents are strong! 4.5 km long, the bike and pedestrian path of Belle-Anse is taken from the path of Caps to the west. From the cliff, the gravel path will run along the edge of the sea and a view of the beach awaits you. In places, the path sinks into a wooded area. At Cap au Trou, you can admire the coastline carved by the waves.
The Mid-Lenten Ecomuseum is a foray into the heart of a tradition and cultural experience second to none. Mid-Lent has survived to survive in rare places around the world. In the Islands, only the village of Fatima has managed to preserve this unique festival where alliances disguise, music and joie de vivre. So long live the party!
