Part of the definition of Big Bang is: gigantic explosion. This name corresponds exactly to the impression the visitor of this huge stately home and quite unusual. This residence, now available rental cottage, is not an incredible unique work of art, or even phenomenal. Fully designed and built by Robert Lachance, sculptor and artist known for his houses "art". It is his third work after the cottages La Romane and the Sculptural. Art lovers and lovers of nature will intensely enjoy this extraordinary place.
The house has 6 bedrooms, 3 closed and as nothing is conventional in this home, 3 others are visually intimate but still with open area. So it can comfortably accommodate up to 14 people (Rate according to number of persons) with an area of about 6000 p2 (560 m2) and 3 bathrooms.
The ground floor comprises a spacious kitchen , dining-living room, plus a very large bathroom and a very, very large bedroom. You will find 2 other bedrooms on the 2nd floor plus a bathroom and a third bedroom on the mezzanine on the 3rd floor. The basement (of still 10 feet high) has 2 large bedrooms plus a bathroom with shower and a seating area in front of the wood stove. It is very difficult to describe in detail all spaces, rooms, boudoirs, office of this house out of the ordinary but know that you will never feel cramped there! On the outside, you can share beautiful moments in the hot swimming-pool in season and a Spa open all year round or enjoy our wonderful fire pit, while natural stone for memorable evenings.
Located in Val-David 1 hour from Montreal, 30 min. Mont-Tremblant and 20 minutes from St-Sauveur. This area of 4 acres, very private and out of sight, has a discreet view (at least half of the year) on the mountain of Regional Park Val-David / Val-Morin (2000 acres of nature reserve), which happens to be the neighbors behind the cottage! You have access to the slopes of the park directly from the field. Guests can choose from hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and even climbing. In the area you will be spoiled for choice: swimming at Lake Raymond at Val-Morin (10 min) or the Lac des Sables in Ste-Agathe-des-Monts (15 min), the Mega zip lines, amusement parks for children, slips water, canoeing, kayaking, biking, climbing, fishing, skiing or snowboarding, telemarking, and even off-piste skiing at Mont Alta etc ... The village of Val-David with all amenities is 5 minutes by car.
