Located in L'Avenir, a small village in the heart of Quebec, nestled on the first link of the Appalachians, a warm house in the countryside welcomes you in a garden along the Saint-François River.
Located in the heart of Jardins Lumières, a tourist site open 3 evenings during the summer, this house offers in all seasons all the comforts to enjoy the Quebec countryside. During these 3 evenings of summer, the Enlightenment Gardens welcome artists in intimate concert, preceded by a Menu-Plaisir of the caterer in chief L'Odika. The chalet calendar as such is blocked, but you can rent the house anyway if this event interests you.Simply contact us so that we can book you the cottage.
The house is distinguished by its many gardens, illuminated in the evening. The atmosphere is very warm. You can spend your summer evenings outside, on the terrace overlooking the river. The river is also nice for swimming, depending on its water level and is accessible by a slope downhill. The bottom of the water is in small rocks, so remember to bring water shoes. You will also find on the spot two kayaks to allow you to go to sail on the river and, why not, to tease the fish there. Several species of fish crisscross the waters, including bass, walleye and yellow perch. Finish your day around an outdoor fire pit, on the water's edge, to contemplate the starry sky of the countryside.
There are two houses in the field. The one that is rented is the big main house. A few meters further is a small workshop reserved for the owners.They sometimes spend a little vacation, but be assured that the land is private and they will respect your privacy throughout your stay.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INTERIOR
The house is welcoming and warm and is distinguished by its large windows omnipresent, allowing natural light. The open concept kitchen is practical with its large island. You will find in this large room a sitting area with a wood stove, perfect for winter stays! The second living room, where is the mezzanine, overlooks the outside with its large patio doors. The two bedrooms of the house are upstairs. That of the masters is equipped with a bathtub and also has its own small balcony overlooking the gardens and the river.
