The Acadian coastline features tons of beaches from north to south, including those located in the region’s two national parks. Rent a cottage in this region to enjoy the sea breeze along miles and miles of beaches where you’ll enjoy swimming in waters that are much warmer than you can imagine. May quaint and picturesque villages are also located along this coastline: Shippagan, Caraquet, Saint-Louis-de-Kent (birthplace of the Canadian flag), Bouctouche, Cap Pelé, and many more. Don’t forget to enjoy Acadian food specialties such as the savoury poutine râpée—no resemblance to Québec’s poutine made with french fries—, the sweet poutine à trou or a hearty bowl of fricot.
